Open-source certification schemes and auditor credentialing for independent AI audit Founded in November 2016 by Ryan Carrier, ForHumanity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit building an 'infrastructure of trust' for AI through its Independent Audit of AI Systems (IAAIS) certification schemes. The organization produces binary (compliant/non-compliant) audit criteria mapped to GDPR, EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, Children's Code, and other laws, and trains and certifies ForHumanity Certified Auditors (FHCAs) who then conduct third-party audits for deploying organizations.
