Figures you can quote, a page for every major state AI law we track, and live embeds that keep your story right after it publishes. All of it source-cited, dated and free to use with credit.
Nine US states have at least one major AI law in force as of 19 Oct 2026, and New York City has its own, according to the AI Compliance Vendors state AI law tracker.
The next major AI-law deadlines fall on 1 Jan 2027, 74 days after 19 Oct 2026: California CPPA rules — ADMT, risk assessments, audits; Colorado SB 26-189 (replaces SB 24-205); and New York S 6953B (RAISE Act).

How we keep it right
Every fact is cited to a public source — for laws, the legislature, regulator or Official Journal.
Every law and deadline shows the date it was last checked; laws are re-checked at least every 90 days.
Statuses switch on effective dates by themselves, and embeds say “re-check in progress” rather than show a stale figure.
Vendors can buy a labeled Featured listing; payment never changes rankings, verdicts or editorial commentary — conflict-of-interest policy.
