About Sprinto

Sprinto is a compliance automation (GRC) platform founded in 2020 by Girish Redekar and Raghuveer Kancherla. It operates from Bengaluru and San Francisco through Sprinto Technology Private Limited and Sprinto, Inc. It has raised $31.8 million, most recently a $20 million Series B led by Accel in April 2024, and says more than 4,000 companies use it. The platform automates continuous monitoring, evidence collection, policies, risk and vendor management and audit preparation through 300+ integrations. Sprinto says 25+ frameworks are automated out of the box and 200+ are digitized, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS. In March 2026 it announced an Autonomous Trust Platform of software agents that refresh evidence, run vendor due-diligence questionnaires and track control gaps to closure; its AI Playground lets teams build their own agents without code. **AI compliance coverage** Sprinto has a dedicated ISO/IEC 42001 offering with policy templates, control coverage, continuous monitoring and expert guidance, and detects AI tool use across browser extensions, managed devices, integrations and SSO sign-ins. Its EU AI Act material is a free applicability checker and a landing page promising automated AI risk classification; the NIST AI RMF is mentioned only as a control set it maps from. AI Governance is sold as an add-on. **Who it's for** Startups and mid-market companies that need SOC 2 or ISO 27001 and want ISO 42001 on the same platform. Named customers include WeWork, Anaconda and Whatfix.

Pros and cons of Sprinto

Pros

  • Dedicated ISO 42001 offering: policy templates, coverage of all ISO/IEC 42001 control objectives, continuous monitoring and expert guidance.
  • Discovers AI tool use across browser extensions, managed devices, integrations and SSO sign-ins, and routes new tools to owners for approval.
  • Large documented integration catalog (300+), including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, ServiceNow, Snowflake and Rippling.
  • Agent-based automation for evidence refreshes, vendor questionnaires and control gaps, plus a no-code AI Playground for custom agents.

Cons

  • No public pricing: all three plans are quoted, and AI Governance is a paid add-on.
  • Thin EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF support: a free applicability checker and a landing page, with no documented EU AI Act control set and no NIST AI RMF framework page.
  • The entry Foundation plan includes only 20 AI-powered security questionnaires a year.
  • Its agent platform was announced in March 2026; we found no independent review of how the agents perform in practice.
  • Not a technical AI testing tool: no model evaluation, red-teaming or runtime monitoring, so teams building AI systems will need one alongside it.
